Alison Grant

Alison was born on the Wirral, then moved to Manchester to train and work as an architect. Her return was the catalyst to start painting again, finding inspiration in her childhood haunts, but now seeing the coastline through the eyes of an architect.

In her own words Ali says “I see so many colours, textures, distant layers and perspective lines in our coastal landscapes – I enjoy working with the composition of these elements to suggest the atmosphere of shifting light and space that we experience at the very edge of the land.”
